HELPFUL TIPS FOR TRANSITIONING HAIR

Transitioning hair is when a person with a previously permed hair decides to grow out their natural hair. Instead of cutting the already permed they leave it in while their natural hair grows. This ends up with the hair having two different hair types from root of the hair to the end.If you are thinking of

transitioning or are already in the process of transitioning, here are 5 helpful tips that will help your transitioning process go a lot smoothly

TIP #1

Be Patient: You must keep in mind that hair does not grow overnight and might take some time before you actually see length in your new hair. There are going to be some days when you will be loving your hair and there are going to be days when you don’t. I suggest waiting at least a year before you decide to chop.

 TIP #2

Keep your hair moisturized: When transitioning, it is every important to keep the hair moisturized and hydrated to prevent from breakage especially along the line of demarcation.

TIP #3

Add Water: Before you consider touching your hair trying to manipulate it ADD WATER. This makes the process easier and faster while also avoiding breakage

TIP #4

Protective Style: This helps minimize manipulation of the hair. Protecting styles like cornrows, braids & twist will help grow out your hair and plus it you will look pretty

TIP #5

Stay Away from heat: Heat is not your friend. Too much usage heat during this stage will lead to heat damage and eventually breakage for hair strands.
